Mussel Family Reunion

When I look at the exterior of a mussel shell I see the ocean and the patterns of surf, waves, salt and sky all together on the surface. Each one different but from the same family, genus. Mussels are familiar throughout the world and are one of the most prolific filter feeders of the oceans.
