Autumnal Tidelines

With kelp I find along the edge of the Pacific, I created a number of wall sculptures combining  bull and giant kelp with holdfasts and other natural organic materials.  Reminiscent of native American weavings, these assemblages gently expand and contract naturally when exposed moisture or dryness in the atmosphere. They are held together by a variety of knots using only organic materials.
